The pupil premium is a grant schools receive to support disadvantaged children. Schools receive money for each pupil who qualifies. They use it to close the attainment gap between these pupils and their peers.
The school chooses how to use the grant to best support each individual child. The aim is to improve pupils’ progress and attainment so that they can reach their full potential.
