Admissions

Your child can start during the school year in which he or she turns five. School becomes compulsory at the beginning of the term which follows their fifth birthday.

The local authority arranges admissions to the school at age 4+ and you apply for a school place online.

There is a set of priorities that decide who gets a place. These include looked after children, siblings and how close you live to the school:

For details see the how school places are offered in East Sussex schools guide.

The local authority have advice if you are applying during the school year to change schools.
