PTA - Making A Difference

Making a Difference is the name of our parents and friends fundraising committee.

Who are we?

Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Committee for the year 2023 - 2024 are:

Chair:  Sarah Davies-Broadhurst

Vice-chair:  Jen Acton

Treasurer: Matt Keysell

Secretary:  Katie Woodrow

If you need any information about us or our events, please come and speak to us. We always welcome new members to the team, whether you can offer regular help or the odd hour or two.

We currently have a committee of 9 parents who communicate regularly and plan events and also a larger WhatsApp group of ‘PTA Helpers’ for anybody who is able to help out at events. We always need help at the Christmas and Summer Fairs and sometimes at other events throughout the year.

What do we do?

Our main aim is to raise funds for the school. We do this through internet fundraising, receiving donations and of course by organising fun events throughout the year. We also provide refreshments at some school events.

PTA funds have been used by the school to purchase new equipment, pay towards school trips and fun educational days and help towards funding essential items such as the Early Birds / Night Owls building and the Hawaiian Hut.

Meetings

We usually hold informal meetings in the evenings approximately bi-monthly and keep in touch online and informally in the playground! Once per year we hold an AGM at school.

All parents, carers, friends and staff are welcome to attend.

Upcoming events

We communicate events through the school newsletter and through Class Dojo and email.

We will also make details available on our Facebook page.
