Extra-curricular activities

At this time we are unable to offer any extra-curricular clubs due to Covid-19.

In normal times, our school offers a wide range of clubs and extra-curricular activities.
These include music, art and sport clubs, amongst others.

Music

Children may take part in:

  • the orchestra
  • the guitar club
  • the stylophone club
  • the choir
  • the chamber choir.

An exciting event in the choral calendar is taking part in a concert at the O2 Arena in London. This event takes place every other year. The choir joins around 8000 other children, singing a variety of songs. An awe inspiring experience for both the children and the audience!

Sports

External sports coaches and staff lead clubs specialising in:

  • football
  • cricket (boys and girls)
  • athletics
  • cross country
  • gymnastics.

Pupil-Led

We encourage the older children to manage clubs. Children in Years 5 and 6 organise many different clubs during break times and lunchtimes. These are always supervised by an adult. They include dance clubs, football, mini choirs, ICT, and animation clubs. The children do a fantastic and responsible job running these additional clubs.

Other

We also offer a wildlife club, and a gardening club.

The arts clubs consists of art and design, dance and drama.

If you would like more information about our clubs, please contact the school office.

“Enrichment activities are varied and include a wide variety of visits, visitors to the school and extra-curricular music and sports clubs. Both pupils and their parents comment about how they value the many opportunities pupils have to be involved in sports activities.”
